I don’t have much to write about today. I’ve been writing essays all day, so I haven’t had the chance to think of a themed post for day 15 of Blogtober! So instead I thought I’d share a little insight into my rainy Monday.
Last night, at around 1am, I finished reading Jane Eyre. Somehow I have spent my entire life not knowing the ending, so I was gripped by the final chapters, crying and sighing along with Jane long into the night. I never wanted the book to end, I must admit. It’s now most definitely one of my favourites.
Today I woke to the sound of the rain on my window, and to Leo curled up next to me under the duvet. He hasn’t left me alone all day, walking all over my papers and laptop. Whoever said cats aren’t clingy has never met Leonardo de Jubbington the first (aka Leonardo DiCATprio). (Yes. That’s his name.)
I finally had the time to work on some essays which, thanks to most of my time being taken up with running around after the puppies, was a nice little change. The puppies spent the day instead with my brother Will, who they absolutely love.
It’s still raining, and not much has happened today, but it’s days like these – the insignificant days when nothing notable happens – that I love the most. Don’t you?
I’ll be back tomorrow with a themed post for blogtober.
