Two weeks ago last Friday, I lost my best friend in the entire world: my gorgeous labrador Dunstan (better known as Boo, Baby Boo, Boo Boo Bah Doo, or one of many of his boo-related nicknames). He was almost fourteen, and for the last two years suffered from illnesses and disabilities that required him to have our round-the-clock attention and care. Even through all of this, he loved his life and loved nothing more than cuddling up with us all on the sofa, or sneaking little bits of his favourite foods.
The day we said a final goodbye to him was the hardest day of my life, and, naturally, I haven’t been too great for the last few weeks. I needed a little bit of time to wrap my head around things, and although I’m still mourning him deeply, I now feel ready to return to posting on here and on my social media pages.
I’ll be back with three posts later this week, and at some point I will write a post about my wonderful Dunstan, who touched the lives of so many and lived an incredible tale.
See you then,
